Mozilla, the company behind the Firefox browser will no longer accept ‘proof-of-work’ cryptocurrencies. This means Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, etc, won’t be accepted as crypto donations. According to Digiconomist, ETH consumes about 112 terawatt-hours of electricity per year, which is comparable to that of the Netherlands and more than the Philippines or Pakistan use.
