Google Multisearch is now Google’s latest innovative search function that allows you to search by picture and then add text to that image search. According to Google, this allows users to “move beyond the search box and ask questions about what you see.”

What Exactly is Google Multisearch?

Google Multisearch allows you to use your camera’s phone to search for images using Google Lens, and then add a text query on top of the image search. Google will then display you visual search results based on both the image and the text query. This is how Google Multisearch works. On your Android or iOS, open the Google app and tap the Google Lens camera icon on the right side of the search bar. Then, point the camera at something nearby, use a snapshot from your camera, or take a photograph of something on your screen. Then, to bring it up, slide up on the results and press the “+ Add to your search” option. You may add words to your photo searches in this area.

How Does It Help You?

According to Google, this tool can help you pin down your search results. Below are some examples of how Multisearch can be useful.

1- Take a picture of a stunning orange dress and enter the keyword “green” to locate it in another hue.

2- To discover a matching table, take a photo of your dining set and search for a “coffee table.”

3- Take a photo of your rosemary plant and tag it with “care instructions.”

However, currently MUM is not in Multisearch. In a blog post, Google stated, “this is made possible by our advanced developments in artificial intelligence, which is making it simpler to understand the world around you in more natural and intuitive ways. We are also looking at how MUM, our latest AI model in Search, may be used to improve results for any topic you could think of.” I asked Google if MUM is now used in Google Multisearch, and Google answered no.
